Child Loses Her Fight With Cancer

Juliana Peña, age 2, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in April. She died on Friday in her parents' arms.

South San Franciscans could not be more heartbroken to learn that 2-year-old Juliana Peña lost her battle with neuroblastoma, a rare cancer, Friday morning.

After aggressive treatment was thought to have made progress against the disease, Juliana's parents, Jesus Peña and Patricia Watson, learned that the cancer had returned in the middle of February, according to the San Mateo County Times.

In tribute to Juliana, I'm sharing the video Patch of Juliana and her family after she had just returned home from a round of treatment. You'll see a cheerful a girl, loving parents and a family who faced her 10 months of illness strongly and bravely.
